The Story Behind Madison Global

A legacy shaped by decades of partnership, innovation, and a commitment to helping organizations engage their people through recognition and incentive travel.
Madison Global

Our History

Madison Global began with a simple idea: when people feel valued and recognized, they perform at their best.

Founded in 1975 by Werner Haase, Madison started as an incentive and performance company focused on helping organizations motivate sales teams and reward exceptional achievement. From the start, Madison combined strategic thinking with creative reward experiences to help companies inspire performance and build stronger cultures.

As businesses evolved, so did Madison. The company quickly became a pioneer in incentive and recognition technology, launching one of the first internet-based sales incentive platforms in 1995. This early investment in digital innovation positioned Madison as a leader in combining technology with human motivation.

Over the following decades, Madison expanded its capabilities to support global organizations through comprehensive employee recognition programs, incentive travel experiences, meetings, and performance solutions. This expansion led to the development of two core divisions:

  • Madison Recognition, which provides enterprise recognition and engagement platforms that help organizations celebrate achievements and strengthen culture.
  • Madison Travel, which designs and delivers world-class incentive travel programs, corporate meetings, and events that inspire teams and create lasting memories.

Today, Madison has evolved into Madison Global, a company dedicated to helping organizations build cultures where employees feel valued, engaged, and inspired to succeed.

Under the leadership of President & CEO Alex Alaminos, Madison continues to innovate through technology platforms like Maestro, global reward marketplaces, and large-scale travel and event experiences.

Now an employee-owned company through its ESOP, Madison’s mission remains the same as it was in 1975: to inspire performance, recognize achievement, and create meaningful experiences for people around the world.

Our Story

Inspiring Performance. Recognizing People. Creating Experiences.

Since 1975, Madison has helped organizations around the world motivate performance, recognize achievement, and create meaningful connections between people and the work they do.

What began as a small entrepreneurial venture has grown into Madison Global, a company that combines recognition technology, incentive travel, and engagement solutions to help organizations build stronger cultures and inspire their people.

1975: A Vision Takes Shape
Madison was founded in New York City by Werner Haase, a pioneer in incentive marketing who believed that organizations perform better when people feel appreciated and motivated.

His vision was simple but powerful: when people are recognized for their contributions, they are inspired to achieve more.

Madison began by designing performance and incentive programs that helped companies motivate sales teams, reward exceptional achievement, and celebrate success. That philosophy continues to guide the company today.
