In the ‘80s the idea that a corporation had a sprit, a personality—one that grew organically from the common traits and accumulated interactions of its people—gained traction in some circles. And while these early notions where more abstract than actionable, it didn’t stop some business leaders from buying into the notion that organizational attitude and character dictated the manner in which things got done.
