June 19th will now be included as an official holiday on the Madison corporate calendar for all employees.

New York, NY (June 17, 2020) — Madison, a global leader in Social Employee Recognition, has announced to all employees that June 19th is officially recognized as a corporate holiday in remembrance of Juneteenth’s historic significance.

Juneteenth commemorates a day for celebration, education and connection with the end of slavery in America in 1865. In recognizing this event as a corporate holiday, Madison will continue to take steps in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement and all minority groups.

“At Madison, we have always worked towards and encouraged our team members to contribute to helping build a more compassionate and connected, diverse world,” shares CEO Alex Alaminos. “With this policy in effect, we hope this day of solidarity allows our team to reset, reflect and find ways to incorporate equality and justice into their work and everyday life. We recognize that we need to be the change we want to see.”

With this announcement, Madison joins with notable brands such as Google, Target, Twitter, Best Buy, Spotify, Lyft, US Bank and other organizations that are helping to drive change for all.
